| Sherrick
Hiscock received his Bachelor of Music Education degree from Florida State
University, Masters Degree from University of Miami in Clarinet Performance,
and Doctor of Musical Arts from University of Miami in clarinet/saxophone
performance. His career highlights are as follows: The "Presidents
Own" United States Marine Band, Washington, D. C., Clarinet soloist
and member, including; The White House Orchestra, Principal Clarinet; Clarinet
soloist with the California Wind Orchestra (9/97) Fine Arts Series Clarinet
Recital at Pacific Union College (4/98); Clarinet soloist (Mozart) with
The Walla Walla Symphony Orchestra; featured clarinet soloist (Copland)
with The Symphony Orchestra of Entre Rios, Parana, Argentina; has given
clarinet recitals in England and France; Director of Music Industry Program
at Elizabeth City State University, Elizabeth City, North Carolina; Governor's
Scholar at University of North Carolina in Arts Management (Certificate);
founding member of The California Wind Orchestra.
Hiscock performs with Music in the Mountains Chamber Players and has recently performed the Glazunov Concerto for Alto Saxophone and String Orchestra with Orchestre Panache'. He is currently residing in Grass Valley, California, with his wife and four children (all musical). Dr. Hiscock has woodwind teaching studios both in Nevada City and Auburn, California. He is also an adjunct instructor of woodwinds at Sierra College.
