Sacramento Brass Quintet
 
   

The Sacramento Brass Quintet is one of the leading brass chamber groups in Northern California. They have performed with the Sacramento Chamber Music Society, the Clear Lake Arts Festival, the Manteca Kindred Arts Concert Series, TCCA, and Music on the Divide. They have been guests artists at CSU Humboldt, UC Davis and with the Sacramento Men's Chorus. The Quintet is a featured ensemble for youth concerts under the sponsorship of the Sacramento Symphony League for five years, performing educational programs throughout the region.

Ron Blais was solo Principal Trumpet with the Air Force Band in Washington DC for twenty years. He performed many premieres with that group playing all over the world and in all fifty states.

Scott Macomber is a faculty member at U.C. Davis where he teaches trumpet and chamber music. A graduate of Northwestern University and the San Francisco Conservatory. He performs with the Music in the Mountains Festival Orchestra is an active free lancer and contractor in Northern California..

Peter Nowlen is a horn instructor at UC Davis and CSU Sacramento. He is also active as a conductor and performer throughout the region including the Music in the Mountain's Festival in Grass Valley.

Joel Elias is a trombone instructor at CSU Sacramento and Principal Trombone for the Sacramento Philharmonic. He is a regular contributor to several music publications.

Steve Trapani is a graduate of the San Francisco Conservatory and one of the most in-demand free-lancers in the Bay area, where he performs with several different chamber groups and orchestras.
